Robert and Kelly Mayor both attended Florida State University, where they met each other through a mutual friend early on in their college career. They were both volunteers for the 211 Crisis and Suicide Hotline while working on their bachelor's degree. Together they took several Psychology courses and provided support to each other while determining their career paths. After graduating from FSU, they got married and moved to Tampa, Florida. They always dreamed of one day having a private practice together.
After college, they both worked on obtaining their licenses to become licensed clinicians. Kelly worked at a domestic violence shelter and also did home health care. She was a stay-at-home mother for several years, while raising their four children. Robert worked with at-risk children/teens and their families. He later moved the family to the Fort Walton Beach area to take a job as a therapist working with the military population and later becoming the manager of an IOP/PHP clinic.
As the children got older, Kelly decided to go back to work, doing online therapy sessions. She eventually started her own private practice in January 2022. As the practice grew, Robert decided to join the practice full-time in 2023. It has continued to grow since then, to now include two additional clinicians.
